Rain Hail and Shine didn't deter the North West Victoria Motorcycle Club's members or the Riders at Mildura's Driver Training Center on the 9th & 10th of August.

The Club had to put up with some adverse conditions and make some great decisions, much appreciated and to benefit of all riders.   Top effort also by the Commentator who not only did the usual job of informing the crowd, he played a very important roll of also keeping the Pits informed of what when where and how things were happening.  He basicly steered the entire weekend under the direction of the Club, top effort.

Other things we liked . . .

Anti Clockwise Tracks, make for good Skids on the flowing Left Handers

Classes are well set with Junior's, Women's, Vet's and C Grade all with Open Rim Sizes, makes it easy for newcomers like us to try.

Eight Rides is worth traveling for.

Things I'm not too sure on . . .

Current and or EX A & B Graders sneaking into the C Grade Class.

As C Grade is not a Championship Class, and we had 4 Riders from the previous round in separate Practice & Qualifying Sessions and 20 in the other.   I wonder if The first Practice C Grade could be Div 1 Div 2 split on the order of entries received, then progressively split through the 2 Qualifying Rounds, ending up with Div 1 and Div 2 better divided groups to go Racing.   Previous Novices can still stay put in their "Slower" Class if they wish, as per sup regs when the racing starts, but I think in the interest of Track Room and better Qualifying & Racing, the splitting of the fields more evenly is a more progressive way to go. It also doesn't matter how many C Graders you get as you can simply add a Div 3 or just the Div1 if no one rocks up . . .

Australia's best Motard Riders rocked up Angus Reekie Linden Magee, Cru Halliday and many others all doing the business at the pointy end on their awesome looking worksy machines, they put on a great display churning out ever shortening lap times over the whole weekend . . . .

We got a hand full of happy snaps, but couldn't wait to make mention of this bloke...#120 Darren Webb .

He'd rock up to the corner at the end of the main straight on his KTM and give her the 'ol Rally Flick, every lap, all weekend. He was the only bloke to rip up both sides of his Rear Tyre on the one corner, bloody awesome to watch, makes the rest of us Trail Riders look a bit ordinary.

Stealth  Race HQ . . . we were the ones without a Pit Tent :

We also had the only 2 Strokes . . . choking up our fellow competitors :

Nathan # 97      Simon # 22

More happy snaps :
